Boy gets virus. Boy draws comic strip. Hilarity ensues. A graphic rendering (OK, OK, it's a comic-strip) guide to living with HIV and AIDS, by Chris CompanikWhen I first got the diagnosis, I remember complaining to a fellow friends (also HIV+) "Why don't they hand you something when you get news like this?" A subsequent therapy session, general b.s..-ing with friends, a reminder I wasn't doing "How to build a sidewalk" brochures any longer, and soon, "HIV + Me" was evolved.
Special thanks go to many people including Marty McNeill, Charles Dickey, Liz England, and in memory, Steve Warner, Art Prillaman, Loy McNeill, Brandon Abernathy, Joe Greenwood, and Pedro Zamora, (the latter of which I never met but his spirit never left me.) And on a more recent note, I'd like to especially thank Judd Winick (Pedro and Me) who understands why I've kept doing this. And has unofficially promised to write the introduction of the book (whenever THAT may be...) And that new header in blue above comes from, of all places, a Hungarian website which links to this one, and their description of this site. updated March, 2010
